Some of you have asked me where I've been, what I've been doing, and why has this account been so quiet since my last journal in Sept 07. The truth is, I haven't been quiet at all!! Although this page has not seen much movement, behind the scenes I've continued to comment, check out new artists and marvel at some amazing art, and generally potter around DA like I always have.

But at the same time, I've been madly busy away from DA. My photography interests (both business and artistic) have been madly accelerating - but still not fast enough IMHO, I thought I would be at this stage before Xmas!! I've been shooting quite a bit, and post production is still a bit of a slow point, primarily due to other distractions. I've been looking at studio space, and worked hard paving the way for potential commercial opportunities - but who knows where that will lead!! My primary objective is still quality photography for the art of it, I have no plans to be a commercial photographer and actively avoid having financial motivations pressuring my art.

A few of you detected my shift away from this account - for those that didn't notice, you can now find me at - I had been using the account since May last year, but finally made the real shift just before Xmas. Read the journals over there to see what I've been up to, I won't duplicate it here (and make an even longer journal!!).

To everyone who has watched me here, I appreciate your support and generous contributions to my photography (through amazing and constructive comments and faves). There will be a brief flurry while I move some of the accounts I watch over to the new account, so apologies if it spikes your messages!! But I've decided not to re-fave all the great art-work - this account is not going anywhere, and it provides a snapshot of the journey I took to get where I am today.

If you want to keep track of me and my work, hop on over to my new account and drop me a line. If you think I'm still worth watching, please do - and make sure you give me a hard time about my work, I love the feedback (and I can take the good with the bad - in fact, I encourage it!!).

This account will remain subscribed until June, at which time I will let it lapse - I'm not sure what thas does to all the customisations, etc, but I will keep an eye on messages and notes for the next few months anyway.

And so this chapter draws to a close... Thanks everyone, your contributions to this account encouraged me to aim far higher than I planned to. I hope I'll see you over in my new home!!
